Anti-dumping duties on certain graphite electrodes from China

The European Commission imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on graphite electrodes originating in China on 06/04/2022. This applies to graphite electrodes of a certain type used in electric arc furnaces. This type has an apparent density of 1,5 g/cm³ or more and an electrical resistance of 7,0 μΩm or less, whether or not nippled, with a nominal diameter of more than 350 mm.

The product description of TARIC does not distinguish between these products and graphite electrodes with a nominal diameter of less than or equal to 350 mm on which no anti-dumping duty is levied.

In order to reflect this situation in TARIC, the EU Commission has introduced a new document coding in TARIC. More info...
