An ATLAS message informs about the start of the certification of participant software regarding ZELOS. ZELOS stands for "Central Exchange of Documents, Requests or Statements".
As soon as participants have created the prerequisites for receiving ZELOS messages and this has been stored in the ATLAS participant master data, it is possible for the customs offices to request documents and/or statements on a reference transaction (customs declaration) electronically from the participant.
For the most efficient and expedited process, automatic document transfer is recommended.
