The European Union has revised the legislation on the import, export, transit, manufacture and placing on the market of ozone-depleting substances (see EU Official Journal L 2024/590). The regulation came into force on March 11, 2024 and repeals the previous regulation.
Due to the legal revision, TARIC measure type 726 for the import control of ozone-depleting substances was newly integrated into TARIC/EZT. The integration of the new TARIC measure type 726 includes various code numbers from chapters 29, 32, 34, 38, 39, 73, 76, 84, 86, 87, 88, 89 and 98 of the ECT. For release for free circulation, different conditions must be met, which result from the respective TARIC footnotes and conditions.
The TARIC footnotes and conditions are currently partly in English. According to ATLAS-Info, a German version will follow shortly.
