The BAFA has extended the General Licences (AGG), which were due to expire on 31 March 2025, until 31 March 2026 and amended their content. The changes result in particular from expanded exclusions to prevent support for Russia's war of aggression or terrorist activities against Ukraine. In addition, clarifications have been made regarding certain destinations and licensing requirements.
General licences are special export licences that do not require an application. All exports that meet the requirements of the respective general licence are automatically approved. This enables immediate deliveries and creates planning security during the period of validity.
Companies are requested to review existing licence applications to determine whether they now fall under one of the extended or amended general licences and, if necessary, to cancel the relevant individual applications with reference to the applicable general licence.
The details of the changes to the general licences can be viewed on the BAFA website.
