ATLAS-Zelos: Electronic transmission of documents possible since 4 October

With the IT application ATLAS-ZELOS, the German customs administration can electronically request documents, enquiries or statements from ATLAS participants and receive supplementary information. ZELOS stands for "Central Exchange of Documents, Requests or Statements". This means that documents are already available to customs offices at the time of clearance, which can further speed up the clearance process, according to an ATLAS release.

On 26 June 2021, the ZELOS components EAS and Import were made available. Since 4 October 2023, it has also been possible for ATLAS participants to transmit documents electronically to ATLAS. This applies to participants who have appropriately certified software. The transmission of documents does not apply to SumA and NEE.

Further information on the transmission of documents via ZELOS can be found in ATLAS-Info 0515/23.
