From 30 September 2023, the purchase and import of certain iron and steel products, irrespective of their origin, are prohibited if they have been produced using materials originating in Russia. These are the iron and steel products listed in Annex XVII of the "Russia Embargo Regulation" (Regulation (EU) No 833/2014).
For the products listed in Annex XVII, which have been obtained in a third country using steel products falling within CN codes 7207 11, 7207 12 10 or 7224 90 originating in Russia, this prohibition shall apply from 1 April 2024 for CN code 7207 11 and from 1 October 2024 for CN codes 7207 12 10 and 7224 90.
When importing iron and steel products of Annex XVII from third countries that fall within the scope of Art. 3g (1) (d) of Regulation (EU) No. 833/2014, the declaration of certain document codes, which you can find in this ATLAS-Info, is mandatory as of 30 September 2023.
