Russia-Ukraine crisis: OFAC issues new General Licenses

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is issuing the following Russia-related General Licenses:

General License 6A authorises the export or re-export to, from or through the Russian Federation of agricultural products, medicines, medical devices, spare parts and components, and software updates for medical devices, as well as transactions necessary for the prevention, diagnosis or treatment of Covid-19.

General License 20 authorises U.S. persons to engage in transactions ordinarily incident and necessary to the official business of third-country diplomatic or consular missions located in the Russian Federation.

General License 25 authorises U.S. news reporting organizations and journalists to conduct journalistic activities and establish news bureaus in certain regions of Ukraine.


OFAC has also published the sanctions list extensions and amendments on individuals and entities announced by US President Joe Biden on 24 March 2022.
