An ATLAS info informs about the introduction of new document codes in connection with veterinary controls.
As of August 1, 2024, the EU Commission has included the new document codes Y170-Y177 as a conditional component in the TARIC measure for "veterinary checks".
Background: Andorra, Switzerland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and San Marino carry out the veterinary checks required under EU law for certain third-country goods on the basis of bilateral agreements with the European Union.
The above-mentioned document codes are used to declare that the goods were in free circulation in one of the above-mentioned countries before being sent to an EU member state and that a proper veterinary inspection has already been carried out.
