FAQs on the Supply Chain Act updated

The Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) has updated its list of questions and answers on the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG)
(as of July 9, 2024).

Under point 4, the information on affiliated companies has been revised and supplemented.

Point 9.4specifies the language(s) in which the declaration of principles must be submitted.

A separate sub-item on own, manufacturer and third-party brands has been added under point 16.2.

The FAQs, which were prepared by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK), the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) and the BAFA, provide information on the scope of application of the law, the impact of the law on companies and the due diligence obligations for documentation and reporting, among other things.
