In connection with the extension of sanctions against Russia, the EU Commission's Directorate-General (TAXUD) has published new authorisation codes as well as codes for declaring the use of an old contract regulation or the non-application of prohibitions.

Even companies that have stopped doing business with Russia still need to keep themselves informed about the current status of sanctions. This is important to avoid running into the problem of circumventing transactions. In certain cases, companies are even obliged to take contractual precautions under the new Art. 12g of Regulation (EU) 833/2014.
